Don’t let others damage your Beachbody business!
Today I found something very interesting – several (20-30) post comments by another Coach. Posted all at the same time!
A little background: I’m a tech. I offer websites, graphics and SEO work.
The image below shows what I saw today – obvious spamming for link value. But, from another coach? I talked with this coach about it, and he explained that he had hired an SEO company that obviously only cared about his money, and not what their work would do to his business. He fired them. (good!)
Some DO-NOTS:
- DO NOT fail to do your homework on ANY company that offers link building or SEO services. If they do it incorrectly, not only will YOU look bad, Google can and will penalize you! Want to drop from page one to page one thousand in a day? Let a spammer work on your site.
- DO NOT be afraid to ask for references.
- DO NOT be afraid to ask questions. SEO is complicated – a good company should be happy to answer your questions.
Some DOs:
- Ask fellow coaches for referrals. (like me!)
- Do your homework, especially if you are hiring someone for something you aren’t familiar with. You’ve heard the stories of people getting ripped off at auto repair shops? The same happens online.
- Keep plugging away at your Beachbody business! All of the posting, sharing, etc that you are doing online IS helping your business! (just don’t get spammy about it)

Very true! I’m so tired of seeing all the spam online. We mainly see it because people don’t know how to engage and network properly so they just come up with a canned response and throw it out there with their link. That makes all businesses look bad that do that online. Unfortunately, it happens all too much and ruins the reputation of an otherwise perfect opportunity to earn money. All you really need to do is take the time to learn the right way to network and let people know about your opportunity.
